The founding story of hyretech is closely connected to the personal experiences and insights of Christian Dölker, who spent a year in Albania with his family in 2018. During his stay, he got to know the potential of Albania's young and dynamic IT scene through his work for the Goethe Zentrum Tirana and his collaborations with the German Embassy.
This encounter led to an intensive exchange with Julian Demeti, an expert with years of experience in the Albanian IT industry. Back in Germany, Christian Dölker met Elias Lin, the founder and owner of contenance GmbH.
Through the exchange about challenges, they worked out the advantages of the Albanian IT job market, especially for German medium-sized companies and agreed to a collaboration.
The pandemic accelerated and intensified the activities of contenance GmbH in Albania so that contenance almost completely outsourced its development to Albania.
The high demand from other companies for qualified developer teams, combined with German management expertise, led to the founding of hyretech sh.p.k. in 2022. Since then, hyretech has grown to become an attractive employer in Albania and an established nearshoring partner in Germany. hyretech's management team is active in BITMi, Germany's largest IT association for SMBs, representing 2,500 small and medium-sized businesses, and AITA, Albania's largest IT association.
Many German companies cannot fully utilize their potential due to a lack of personnel and inadequate training, resulting in revenue losses and a lack of innovation. hyretech offers a solution by providing qualified IT professionals who help fill these gaps. Albania, on the other hand, struggles with a continuous emigration of young and highly skilled professionals, due to a lack of prospects.
The absence of reliable career opportunities, continuous training, and attractive compensation leads to a phenomenon known as brain drain, where many of the most talented individuals leave the country. hyretech also serves as a key player here by providing solid career prospects in the IT industry, thereby contributing to strengthening the local job market and reducing emigration.
